
Christoph Stork of Research ICT Africa won the best paper competiton while Nirmali Sivapragasam of LIRNEasia was placed runner up at the CPRsouth4 conference held in Negombo, Sri Lanka.
Christoph's paper reviews the latest developments and trends for interconnection rates and shows how interconnection benchmarking can be used to set termination rates using the case of Namibia.

The deadline for submission of complete papers for CPRsouth4 has now expired. The submitted papers have been sent to the review panels.
Decisions about the selections will be announced on or before 7 October 2009.

The first stage of the CPRsouth4 Conference review process has concluded. The applicants have been notified of the selections.
The Young Scholar applicants will be notified of the selections at the end of July.
LIRNEasia, is organizing the fourth CPRsouth conference, in Negombo, Sri Lanka from 7-8 December 2009.
The conference aims to provide a forum for senior, junior and mid-career scholars to meet face-to-face and exchange ideas, establish networking opportunities and improve the quality of their scholarly work, in order to facilitate the long-term objective of fostering the next generation of active scholars and in-situ experts capable of contributing to ICT policy and regulatory reform in the region.

The CPRsouth4 conference will be held in Sri Lanka from 5-9 December 2009. THe tutorials will be on 5-6 December 2009 while the conference will be on 7-8 December 2009.
