The O.S. Braunstein Prize for the best student research paper in telecommunications and ICTs will again be awarded at the PTC'10 Conference, January 17-20, 2010. This award is valued at over $1700, and includes $500 in cash, conference registration, and up to $1,000 for travel and accommodation to attend and present at the PTC'10 Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Papers presented at PTC'10 may also be invited for inclusion in a refereed special issue of Telecommunications Policy.

On 26-27 November 2009, Centre for Communication, Media and Information technologies (CMI) is holding its second international conference themed, 'Social Networking and Communities - the big and the small screen'.

TPRC is soliciting abstracts of papers, panel proposals, student papers and posters for the 2009 conference. Proposals should be based on current theoretical or empirical research relevant to communication and information policy, and may be from any disciplinary perspective.
Subject areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to the following:

CPRsouth3 tutorials will be held at the same location on 8-9 December, 2008.

It will draw together research constituting evidence for and against this emerging Mobile2.0 narrative in the context of the larger social-science understanding of mobile-use behavior. The International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC) will be held from November 03 -06, 2009 at the HANGAR Convention and Exhibition Center of the Amazon - Belém, Pará, Brazil
The conference is a traditional biannual event promoted by the Brazilian Microwave and Optoelectronics Society (SBMO) since 1985. Due to its importance as an international event, IMOC has counted, since the beginning of the nineties, with the co-sponsorship of the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE MTT-S).
