CPRsouth3 Update 5

CPRsouth3 Conference will be held at the High Tech Mansion of Beijing Unversity of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) from 5-7 December, 2008

CPRsouth3 tutorials will be held at the same location on 8-9 December, 2008.

CPRsouth3 Update 4

The Paper presenters for the CPRsouth3 Conference to be held from 5-7 December, 2008 in Beijing has now been finalised. In total about 80 participants from 25 Countries will be present at the conference.

The tutorials for the young scholars will be from 8-9 December, 2008.

The conference agenda will be posted on the website shortly.

CPRsouth3 Update 3

The abstract review process and the selection of young scholars for CPRsouth3 has concluded and applicants have been notified.

Applicants whose abstracts were selected to moving into the next stage of the conference paper selection process have to send in their complete papers by August 31, 2008.

The selected Young Scholars are required to submit a one page research proposal/abstract by November 3, 2008.

The applications of wait-listed young scholars will be considered in the event of a vacancy within the next two months.

CPRsouth3 Update 1

The deadline for the CPRsouth3 Call for Abstracts has passed and reviews are in progress. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible.

The deadline for Young Scholar Applications, however, has been extended to Friday, June 6, 2008.

The deadline has been extended to Friday, June 6, 2008.
Fifteen Young Scholars from the Asia-Pacific region and 15 from China will be selected to participate in the tutorials scheduled to be held after CPRsouth3 (December 8 and 9, 2008).
Application Guidelines
Applications should be submitted to info[at]cprsouth[dot]org by or before May 31, 2008 and must contain the following:
  1. a. one-page curriculum vita that includes your contact information and the name and contact information of current supervisor or mentor, and
  2. b. a one-page write-up outlining why you wish to be an Asia-Pacific based expert capable of contributing to ICT policy and regulatory reform in the region.

CPRsouth3: Transformation Strategies for Telecom Operators

LIRNEasia, in association with the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication (BUPT), is organizing the third CPRsouth conference, in Beijing, China from December 5-7, 2008. The conference aims to provide a forum for senior, junior and mid-career scholars to meet face-to-face and exchange ideas, establish networking opportunities and improve the quality of their scholarly work, in order to facilitate the long-term objective of fostering the next generation of active scholars and in-situ experts capable of contributing to ICT policy and regulatory reform in the region.
