Rohan Samarajiva, PhD, Board memeber of Communication Policy Research south (CPRsouth) reveals a window of opportunity in the ICA newsletter, March 2010, for young scholars to gain more knowledge in research in ICT uses in emerging Asia, and at the same time to participate the International Communication Association (ICA) conference 2010 in Singapore.
In the ICA news letter Rohan says,
One of the main objectives of CPRsouth has been to give the necessary tools for young researchers to enable them to be policy intellectuals. However, getting good research into the policy process has always proved to be a challenge for researchers.
The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), South Africa has identified some of the resources that would assist researchers and scholars to enter the policy process.
A key aspect of converting research into policy is communication. CPRsouth4 tutorials had a 2 hour time slot set side to teach young scholars about communications Strategies.
