2015: Young Scholar Abstract Submission Guidelines



  1. Clarity of the research question or the contention

State your research question or the contention in a short statement of no more than 50 words

  1. Novelty, and importance to the CPRsouth community (in 100 words or less)
  • Cite the most relevant literature (in addition to citations from print journals or books, we encourage you to cite works that available through scholar.google.com or other search engine)
  • Show what’s new about your work as compared to those cited
  • State why your work should be important to the CPRsouth community
  1. Method (in 100 words or less)

Make sure that the proposed methodology includes:

  • Sufficient data or case studies and/or
  • Arguments grounded in prior work
  1. Other considerations (Additional, in 100 words or less)

If the research is complete you can indicate the main findings or highlight the contribution it makes to the body of knowledge/policy area, or if not, the contribution that you hope it will make.

  1. Layout
  • The title should capture the essence of the proposal
  • The name, address, telephone, fax and email for the Author should be directly below the title in one paragraph separated by semi colons
  • The body of the abstract should be no more than 350 words in length
  • Citations should follow the American Psychological Association format and number no more than 10
  • Font (Arial, 10 point, with title in bold)

Please submit your abstract on or before 21 July 2015.
