Yuan Chunhui, PhD

Chunhui is currently attached the school of Economics and Management of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (SEM-BUPT) as a Professor of Economics since 2003. She began her academic career in 1987 as an Assistant Professor at BUPT. She has been the director of the Research Center of Network Economics & Business Intelligence, BUPT since 2007.

She has the recipient of the Science and Technological Progress Prize presented by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), 1999, for the project of Study on the Development Strategies of Posts and Telecommunications in the Remote Border Provinces.

Chunhui is also the Editor in Chief of the Journal of BUPT, Social Sciences Edition. She received the “Distinguished Supervisor Prize” and the “Teaching Reform Award”, by BUPT in 2006.

Some of her most recent research project has been the Empirical Research on the Related Structure of Regulatory governance, Regulatory incentives and Regulatory performance, 2007-2008 and Research on Regulatory System of Higher Education Quality, 2007—2009. The projects have been supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, respectively.

Her research interests include Telecommunication Regulation and Policy and Network Industries Economics
