Patrick Xavier

Patrick Xavier Bec(Hons), MA (Public Policy), M.Ec, PhD is Director of Info-Comm Strategies and Adjunct Professor of Economics, Centre for Communications Economics and Electronic Markets, Curtin Business School, Curtin University of Technology, Australia. He has had extensive experience lecturing in business economics and international business to undergraduate and graduate students. His academic experience includes visiting research fellowships and professorships at universities in the UK and US. He regularly presents research and policy papers to national and international conferences.

As well as substantial research experience, Dr Xavier has also worked in a wide range of areas including housing, transport, postal services, energy, water supply, and telecommunications, as a consultant and within government departments as a policy advisor.  He is a long-standing member of the Economic Affairs Committee convened by the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry (the state’s largest private sector employer association). He is a board member of CPRsouth an international organisation dedicated to improving ICT development and capacity building in less developed countries. He is also on the editorial board of “Info” an international journal (published by Emerald) focused on telecommunications policy and regulation.
